How to Overhead Press

The majority of us are prone to using the wrong muscles when pressing overhead (traps, neck and the front of our shoulders). In this video, you’re going to learn the difference between and good press and a bad one. These skills will improve your strength and posture and even help prevent injuries. You’ll also notice some carry over from the previous video “How to Row” as similar shoulder blade cues apply here as well.

Tips In Review:

  1. Set your shoulder blades
  2. Wrist over elbow and elbow at the seam of the shirt
  3. Biceps next to ears and bar over the crown of your head
